BOPP is known as the packaging queen in the plastic film industry, and plays a pivotal role in the plastic flexible packaging industry. Since the end of the 1970s, the variety of BOPP industry has been continuously enriched, adding luster to our colorful life.
BOPP product classification is first divided into glossy film, matte film, pearlescent film, cover film, aluminized film, tape film, bag-making film, heat-sealing film, laser film, anti-fog film, etc. according to different uses. The types of films are also accompanied by We continue to innovate in the improvement of living standards. In the past two years, the coating-free film has gradually entered our field of vision under the environmental requirements. Here we briefly summarize the uses of various common membranes:
Optical film: Usually, ordinary optical film is mainly used for printing, and it is often used for packaging and printing. Among them, it is divided into thick film and thin light film. Generally, thick film refers to the thickness above 25μ, and thin film refers to the thickness below 19μ.
Matte film: also known as matt film, which is mainly realized by absorbing and scattering light, generally can improve the grade of the printed appearance, but the price is relatively high, and there are few domestic manufacturers, so it is often used in boxed food or high-end Used in packaging. Matting film often has no heat-sealing layer, so it is often used in combination with other films (such as CPP, BOPET).
Pearlescent film: Mostly it is a 3-layer co-extruded stretch film, usually with a heat-seal layer on the surface, such as chopsticks bags, often the pearlescent film has its own heat-seal layer for heat-sealing, so there will be a section of heat-sealed section. Different from BOPP film, the density of pearl film is mostly controlled below 0.68, which is beneficial to save costs; and common pearl film presents a white, opaque pearl effect, has a certain light blocking ability, and protects products that need to be protected from light. effect. Of course, pearlescent film is often combined with other films for food and daily necessities, such as ice cream, chocolate packaging and beverage bottle labels. Its white pearlescent effect and well-designed printing patterns complement each other.
Cover light film: It is understood that the cover light film is generally a thin light film below 18μ, and it is generally a double-sided corona, so there will be a slight difference in use with ordinary light film, and it is generally not used for Make plain bags.
Aluminized film: Everyone is relatively familiar with the aluminized film, but BOPET and CPP are commonly used as substrates. At present, domestic BOPP aluminized is relatively rare, especially in recent years with the price advantage of BOPET, the BOPP aluminized market has been affected to a certain extent.
Laser film: it is a transparent BOPP film with a moldable functional layer, which can be molded without additional pre-coated molded layer. It is used for anti-counterfeiting packaging after aluminum plating or evaporation medium, or it can be used as cigarettes in combination with cardboard or non-grinding , medicine, food and other packaging boxes. There is relatively little domestic production, and it is generally used for high-end product anti-counterfeiting, decorative packaging, etc., and has certain requirements for production technology.
Tape film and bag-making film are more common. Anti-fog film and coating-free film have been introduced in the early stage, so I won’t repeat them here. Of course, there are many high-end films such as capacitive films and some customized films for BOPP flat films. It is expected that in the future, under the pressure of competition in the industry and the expected shrinking profits of mass products, the types of BOPP flat films and new types of films will still be further improved. Powering the world of packaging.
